Phoenix Lacrosse Club mindset is:
This is SO much more than fielding a few more teams.
Feeling strong and empowered comes from feeling like you belong.
Phoenix Lacrosse understands this.
Their aim is to field competitive teams within a sports club with a prominent sense of community.
Recognizing that Sport is so much more than a game, keeping girls and women in sport is about keeping them empowered.
Believing: Being strong, and belonging, translates from sport into other areas of women’s lives.
The loss of the Phoenix women’s athletic program was a devastating blow to this family orientated club. Without the women’s program the club was unbalanced; a noticeable hole is felt within the club & its community.
An issue the club sought to and fought hard to address.

Our premier team with Australian stars of now and the future, coached by Geoff Goddard. Season 2022 realises the much-anticipated move into, not only reinstating our full women’s sporting program, but see the club field a senior women’s team into the premier State League division.
Geoff Goddard and his leadership brings 30 years of coaching experience, this represents invaluable experience that will contribute, complement, and cement our women’s program.
Women’s Division 2
Phoenix is delighted to field our second senior women’s team, the focus of this team is to field a mix of experienced players and our juniors. Where experienced women continue to develop but also share their skills, strength, fitness and knowledge of the game.
