As we reflect on the celebration of our 125th year anniversary and all the people, experiences and events over the last century & a quarter, we were guided to reflect much further back in time and now offer this acknowledgement of country, game & people.
Welcome everyone,
We acknowledge:
The Beeliar people of the Whadjuk (wah…jak) Nyungar (noong..aah) nation as the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we gather on here today OR Phoenix Lacrosse Club sits. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging.
We Acknowledge:
The people of the Six Nations, the Iroquois (ir..a..coy..z.) people, for the gift of the Creators game, the medicine game, the game of lacrosse, that we share, enjoy and respect.
Acknowledge Gratitude To:
The forbearers, and people of Phoenix Lacrosse, for passing our clubs existence and care down through the generations, so lacrosse may continue to teach the lessons of life. We will not always win, but seek to conduct ourselves in a dignified performance through our Phoenix S.P.I.R.I.T. of Sportsmanship. Passion. Integrity. Respect. Inclusiveness. Teamwork.
